A Superb quality Edwardian Period Display cabinet by Maple & Co Of London. The upper section having an arched, moulded and stepped cornice and having a central marquetry inlaid floral garland, above twin central concave glazed doors, which open to reveal a shelved display area and with concaved panelled lower doors again with beautiful quality marquetry inlaid foliate garlands. The bottom doors open to reveal a mahogany shelved interior. The glazed end doors having beautiful Gothic tracery glazing bars with stunning inlaid panels beneath. The whole raised on six elegant turned and leaf carved supports united by a concave shaped undertier circa 1900-1910. This cabinet was made by the renowned cabinet makers Maple & Co of London and as you would expect is stunning quality throughout. Condition: This cabinet is in stunning condition With a warehouse that was one of the “sites of London”, Maple & Co was once the largest furniture retailer and manufacturer in the world, attracting visitors from near and far. The company was most prolific in the late Victorian and Edwardian era, specialising in fine quality Arts & Crafts Furniture, designed and produced in their own workshops.
