A magnificent William IV Period very finely figured bookcase of large proportions. The upper section with six arched glazed doors enclosing a shelved and blue silk lined interior. Each door flanked by tapering cylindrical columns with finely carved foliate capitols. The projecting outer doors each surmounted by an architectural pediment. The lower section enclosed by six panelled doors with mahogany turned pulls, the whole raised on a plinth base circa 1830-1840. The timbers chosen are of very high quality, the veneers are beautifully flame figured and the mahogany plum pudding.
Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, fully cleaned and waxed
