An unusual and rare Arts And Crafts period mahogany display cabinet. The upper section of inverted breakfront from having a rectangular satinwood inlaid stepped cornice above a central stylised marquetry and abalone inlaid panel, flanked by angular glazed panels and having wonderful octagonal faceted free standing columns. The angular full length glazed doors opening to reveal the original velvet lined interior. The lower section having a central glazed door opening to reveal a velvet lined shelved display area, flanked by stunning stylised floral marquetry and abalone inlaid panels retaining the original copper handles and hinges throughout. NB Each individual glass panel having slightly shaped blown glass, another indication of the stunning quality of this unusual cabinet. This cabinet bears many similar characteristics to other furniture designed by J.S Henry and could possibly have been made by the renown cabinet makers Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple circa 1900 Condition: This cabinet is in stunning original condition, fully cleaned and waxed FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY
