A superb quality Jacobean style solid oak desk. The beautiful hide leather top with blind tool decoration over a central cushion moulded frieze drawer with a smaller cushion moulded drawer at each side having turned drawer pulls. The lower section having two drawers either side with wrought iron hand made handles, all the drawers having solid oak linings, supported on eight Jacobean style carved supports joined by stretchers, this desk bears no manufacturers label or name but its sheer quality suggests that it could have been made by one of the premier manufacturers of oak reproduction furniture circa 1950-1960
