Arts & Crafts Liberty's Oak Hathaway Dresser

63.5" wide x 66" high x 19.5" deep

Arts & Crafts Oak Hathaway dresser. This famous Liberty's oak dresser was designed by Leonard Wyburd for Liberty's & Co, London circa 1900. The raised and shaped gallery above an overhanging cornice with an open central upper section that has a single plate shelf above a breakfront central section incorporating a cutlery drawer, with steel octagonal backplate handles. Flanked by twin "sentry box" cupboards each having a bulls eye hand blown glass panel and with heart shaped steel escutcheons, which open to reveal shelved storage space. There is a further central open storage area to the base, above an angular apron, the whole raised on simple block feet. This dresser is made from solid oak and bears an ivorine Liberty's label circa 1900

Condition: This dresser is in excellent original condition, one escutcheon missing which we are currently trying to source
