A magnificent Late Victorian mahogany inlaid breakfront display cabinet by Edwards & Roberts. The upper section having a broken swan neck pediment with marquetry inlaid dragons, the frieze beautifully inlaid with flowing ribbons, garlands of flowers and Sheraton Style shell motifs, above two glazed doors which enclose three adjustable silk lined shelves. The bowed glazed end panels flanked by fiddle back mahogany pillars with wonderful harebell inlaid detail. The lower section of breakfront outline, the top having a central Grecian urn flanked by attending dragons, swirling foliate and trailing serpents and having a profusely inlaid frieze above two central doors each with magnificent inlaid panels, which open to reveal a shelved interior. The convex panels having wonderful inlaid musical instruments. The whole raised on six square tapering supports, terminating in spade feet. The whole cabinet constructed using wonderful fiddle back mahogany. This cabinet was made by Edwards & Roberts of London who are considered to be the very best cabinet makers of this period and is stamped on one of the doors circa 1890-1900 Condition: This cabinet is in stunning condition, fully restored, cleaned and waxed
