22" wide x 42" high x 15" deep

A Fine quality Adam Revival Edwardian Period mahogany music cabinet. The solid mahogany top with a triple reeded edge above an arcaded frieze with applied Adam style paterae and leaf carved capitols. The well figured panelled doors again with triple reeded moulding opening to reveal five mahogany removable trays (originally six, one is absent). the doors having an ivory label to each shelf which was used to write in pencil which type of music each shelf contained. The whole raised on turned tapering mahogany supports with further leaf carved detail united by triple stretchers. This cabinet is stamped R2285 to the carcase which indicates this cabinet was made by the renown furniture makers Shapland And Petter of Barnstaple circa 1900-1910

Condition: This music cabinet is in excellent original condition, fully cleaned and waxed (one inner shelf missing)
