An exhibition quality Victorian Period antique ebonised and ivory inlaid side cabinet. The projecting rectangular top above a wonderful ivory inlaid frieze depicting Pegasus with a centred mirrored roundel. The central glazed door enclosing a velvet lined shelved interior flanked by freestanding turned and fluted ebonised columns with gilt bronze Corinthian capitols, raised on an ebonsied projecting plinth. The sides centred by stunning ivory inlaid panels depicting classical maidens with further foliate detail. The quality of this cabinet indicates that it could possibly have been made by Jackson & Graham who were the premier cabinet makers of ebonised inlaid furniture of this period circa 1870 Condition: This cabinet is in stunning condition, fully cleaned and waxed The firm of Jackson & Graham established in 1836 by Thomas Jackson and Peter Graham at 37 Oxford Street London, and for the next fifty years produced predominately high quality furniture and represented Britain at many of the international exhibitions
