A beautiful proportioned Edwardian period mahogany breakfront bookcase in the George III manner. The dentil and fluted cornice above four glazed doors with stylish astragals carved with flower heads and enclosing a shelved interior. The lower central section with secretaire drawer, green Moroccan leather writing surface and satinwood veneered miniature drawers, above ebony and ivory inlaid pigeon holes. Flanked by deep drawers, all above four shaped panelled doors with well chosen flame figured veneers, which open to reveal a shelved interior, all strung in boxwood and ebony and with finely cast Adam urn handles. The whole raised on a plinth base circa 1900-1910 Condition: this bookcase is in stunning condition, fully cleaned and waxed
