An exhibition quality Victorian Period burr walnut, thuya, amboyna and ormolu mounted pier cabinet. The rectangular top beautifully veneered in burr walnut, cross banded in thuya wood and having an amboyna veneered moulded edge. The frieze again veneered in burr walnut with geometric thuya banded inlay and an ormolu moulded edge. The twin glazed doors opening to reveal two velvet lined shelves and a mirrored back. the doors again veneered in burr walnut with thuya cross banded detail and ormolu mounts, flanked by twin turned walnut, burr walnut and amboyna inlaid columns with further ormolu mounts. The whole raised on a burr walnut thuya and amboyna veneered plinth terminating in turned ebonised bun feet circa 1860-1870 Condition: This pier cabinet is exhibition quality, fully restored and re-lined
