A George III Period Satinwood Demi Lune Fold Over Tea Table C1770-1780

36" wide x 29" high x 18" deep (36" deep opened)

A George III Period satinwood demi lune fold over tea table. The D shaped fold over top veneered in satinwood and having chequer band inlaid detail and a mahogany X banded edge opening to reveal a satinwood veneered interior. The frieze again with chequer band inlaid detail and having later chinoiserie painted panels, raised on satinwood veneered square tapering supports circa 1770-1780

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, a small section of chequer band inlay has been replaced. Scuffs and marks consistent with age and use. fully cleaned and waxed. Chinoiserie decoration probably done in 1920
