A good George III Period oak Lancashire mule chest. The rectangular hinged top in beautiful figured oak with mahogany cross banding, lifts to reveal a storage area. Above an arrangement of three "dummy" drawers and five working oak lined drawers. The bottom right hand drawer being a double sized drawer. The drawer fronts all cross banded in mahogany and retaining the original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons, raised on shaped bracket feet. The corners having quarter reeded Corinthian columns and panelled ends, solid oak throughout circa 1790-1800 Condition: This chest is in completely original condition throughout, cleaned and waxed FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY
