A beautiful Late Victorian Period mahogany inlaid writing table probably by Edwards & Roberts Of London. The raised back having a pierced brass fretwork gallery and a central serpentine fitted stationery compartment with an Adams style inlaid urn and trailing foliate detail. Flanked by four mahogany lined drawers, each with marquetry inlaid detail.The rectangular solid mahogany top having a burgundy gilt and blind tooled leather inset writing surface above three rectangular frieze drawers, cross banded in satinwood and with trailing foliate inlaid detail. Raised on four elegant square tapering supports with brass cup castor's, all locks stamped VR circa 1890-1900
