A pair of Late Victorian highland cattle paintings by Robert Watson. One depicting highland sheep amounst heather with a mountainous backdrop. The other depicting cattle watering by a loch again with a mountainous backdrop, both signed and dated Robert Watson 1900. Housed in later double swept giltwood frames. Condition: These paintings are in excellent condition Robert Watson was born in 1865 and lived in Southport, Lancashire and one of a family of highland scene painters. Watson exhibited in Glasgow and Liverpool, despite the high quality of his work he never made the journey down to London to exhibit there.
