21.5" wide x 21.5" deep x 32" high (Top shelves measure 10" wide x 10" high and bottom shelves 10" wide x 12" high)

An Arts & Crafts Period mahogany inlaid revolving bookcase by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. The top in plum pudding mahogany and of serpentine outline having wonderful marquetry inlaid detail depicting stylised Art Nouveau Iris's and tendrils in satinwood, sycamore and rosewood with a chequer band border. Each side having two bookshelves and a similarly inlaid rectangular mahogany panel again using exotic veneers. Having a shaped frieze and raised on an X framed Iron base for stability to the revolving top. As illustrated in Daryl Bennetts Shapland & Petter Ltd Arts & Crafts furniture page 108. Condition: This bookcase is in excellent condition, re-polished in our workshops
