A George III Period mahogany "estate" bureau bookcase. The upper section having a shaped cornice above twin mahogany panelled doors, opening to reveal an oak lined shelved and pigeon hole interior. The lower bureau seaction having a sloping fall front which opens to reveal a well fitted interior with a baize lined writing surface, above an arrangement of four graduating oak lined drawers each retaining their original pierced back plate brass swan neck handles. Raised on the original shaped bracket feet, of wonderful colour and patination. English circa 1760-1770
