 A beautiful Victorian Period burr walnut oval loo table by William Smee Of London. The oval tilting top veneered in stunning figured burr walnut with tulips wood and sycamore banding, a band of ebony and floral marquetry inlay. Raised on a turned walnut stem with curved detail and four acanthus carved cabriole supports with inset brass and porcelain castors, bearing manufacturers label to the underside. English circa 1870

Messrs. William Smee and Sons, of Finsbury Pavement, London were large exhibitors of furniture in which elegance is combined with utility, but is remarkable for judgement and taste in design and excellence in workmanship.


Condition: This table is in stunning condition, the top has been re-polished in our workshops, the base cleaned and waxed
