28" wide x 19" deep x 27" high

A small George III Period mahogany antique chest/commode disguised as a chest of drawers. Having a rectangular solid cuban mahogany top which is hinged and lifts to reveal the commode. Having four "dummy" drawer fronts and beautiful water gilded swan neck handles. With solid Cuban mahogany sides, raised on the original shaped bracket feet. Constructed using the finest timber and probably made by Gillows of Lancaster although not marked. English circa 1780-1800

Condition: This chest is in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed. Although of no practical use today, this is a stunning example and could be used purely as a decorative furnishing piece
