An Edwardian Period Sheraton Revival triple shield back painted satinwood settee. The triple shield back with pierced vase shaped splats and having polychrome painted detail with open swept arms, having a loose buttoned squab cushion which is newly re-upholstered in a gold silk damask, above the cane work seat. Having a shaped front seat rail, the whole raised on four square tapering satinwood supports with further hand painted polychrome decoration and swept rear supports. This is after a design of a Period example originally designed by Thomas Sheraton in the late 18th Century.
