A rare Victorian Period coromandel & Satinwood fitted travelling stationery box. The case made from wonderfully figured coromandel with each door having a silver plated monogram. Opening to reveal the original fitted interior with day, date and month calendar, letter racks, ink bottles, a pen tray and a removable writing slate. The lower section with a drawer which can only be accessed when the case is open. Having a Bramah patent locking mechanism, but unfortunately no key. English circa 1870-1880
Condition: This writing box is in beautiful original condition, cleaned and waxed. No key.
