A good pair of French 19th Century oval reverse paintings on glass. Each housed in a giltwood and gesso vine and leaf carved oval frame. One depicting a group of courtiers, the other depicting a game of blind mans bluff. The paintings are on canvas and laid onto the reverse of the glass, a popular technique in the mid 19th Century. France circa 1860
Condition: This pair of paintings are in excellent original condition. Some losses to the edges where the canvas has come away from the glass.
