A late 18th Century Lancashire oak base/mule chest. The rectangular hinged oak top cross banded in mahogany and opening to reveal a storage area. the front having two rectangular "dummy" drawers and four rectangular oak lined real drawers each with brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. Having Lancashire quarter reeded columns to the corners, panelled ends and raised on shaped ogee feet. A superb colour and patination.
