A fine quality flamed mahogany George III Style Carlton House desk. The upper section having a pierced brass gallery and solid mahogany top above an arrangement of flame mahogany drawers, cupboards, pigeon holes and an adjustable green leather writing surface with gilt and blind tooled detail. The lower section having three rectangular oak lined drawers with flame veneered fronts and traditional brass swan neck handles. Raised on square tapering Georgian style supports with brass castors and united by a solid mahogany under-tier with a further brass gallery. This desk is veneered in the finest flame veneers throughout and is finished all around so it can be free standing in the centre of a room.
