A Fine quality Edwardian Period flamed mahogany carlton house desk. The upper section having a brass shaped gallery above the mahogany curved top with flamed mahogany shaped panels and having an inset green blind and gilt tooled leather writing surface and three mahogany lined drawers, hinged concave doors with flamed panels and boxwood edging throughout. The lower section with beautifully figured flame mahogany drawer fronts with chequer band inlay and traditional brass swan neck handles. The whole raised on square tapering supports with brass cup castors English circa 1900-1910 after the original Hepplewhite design of 1780 Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition
