A good George I Period walnut chest on chest. The upper section having a cavetto moulded cornice above three short and three long rectangular oak lined drawers. The drawer fronts veneered in burr walnut with fine herringbone banding and retaining the original brass handles and escutcheons. The lower section with three rectangular oak lined drawers again with fine veneers and the original handles, with walnut veneered sides, the whole raised on shaped bracket feet. English circa 1720
Condition: This chest on chest is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Superb colour and patination, one or two old repairs to the drawer fronts commensurate with age and use.
