An Arts and Crafts Period Walnut Wardrobe by Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple

72" wide, 21" deep, 87" high

A Beautiful Arts and Crafts Period Walnut wardrobe by Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple, the raised central mirrored section enclosing slides and drawers, flanked by two panelled doors having exquisite carved detail and having a galleried spindle cornice, enclosing two sections of hanging space. This wardrobe is very much in the aesthetic taste and is after a design first used by Bruce Talbert for Gillows & Co in 1870, although this wardrobe is probably 1890 in date.

Condition: This wardrobe is in superb condition, the mirror has some line speckling and there is a small section of the base missing which is not noticeable as it is inside the wardrobe, but overall a stunning piece of furniture, these minor conditions are reflected in the price.
