A mahogany cased grandmother clock retailed by Garrard & Co Ltd of London, this clock is of the highest quality with a removable hood with glazed door which opens to reveal a brass and silvered arched dial with cast brass spandrels, having further engraved decoration to the centre and bearing the retailers name of Garrard & Co Ltd, Regent Street, London. The three train movement striking on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and having either the Westminster or Whittington Chime on the hour. This clock also has a silent option and is fitted with a night silence device, the movement being made by Elliott and Co, the renowned London based clockmaker's. The case is made from solid mahogany with the trunk having quarter veneered detail inlaid onto the solid mahogany carcass.
