A Beautiful Late Victorian Mahogany Inlaid Display Cabinet

40" wide x 19" deep x 84" high (Base 38" wide x 19" deep x 36" high, Top 40" wide x 13" deep x 48" high)

A Beautiful Late Victorian mahogany inlaid display cabinet, the upper section having a broken swan neck pediment with flowing floral marquetry detail, the dentil cornice above an inlaid frieze having floral garlands and harebell inlaid detail, the astragal glazed doors cross banded in satinwood and having a central brass moulding enclosing a velvet lined adjustable shelved interior, the lower section of serpentine outline with twin mahogany lined serpentine frieze drawers, having flowing marquetry inlaid detail, the whole raised on square tapering splayed supports united by a mahogany line inlaid under tier, circa 1890-1900, this cabinet was undoubtedly made by one of the finest late 19th Century cabinet makers such as Edwards and Roberts, Maple & Co, Etc, although it is not marked

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent original condition, scuffs and marks consistent with age and use
