A Victorian Oak "Pugin" Inspired Side Table

36" wide x 19.5" deep x 29.5" high

A Victorian oak "Pugin" inspired side table, the shaped rectangular solid oak top raised on a Gothic "Puginesk" base with chamfered and shaped oak supports, after a design by Augustas Welby Pugin who designed similar tables to these for the houses of Parliament, this example dating from about 1870

Condition: This table is in good condition and structurally sound, the table has been cleaned and refinished.

Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1 March 1812 – 14 September 1852) was an English architect, designer, and theorist of design, now best remembered for his work in the Gothic revival style, particularly churches and the Palace of Westminster
