A Beautiful George III Period Mahogany antique Grandfather clock by Samuel Lister of Bolton, having a square enamelled dial with floral painted detail and brass hands. The case having a broken swan neck pediment surmounted by three brass finials above a triple shell inlaid frieze and having turned column supports. The trunk having a beautifully figured mahogany door with reeded quarter columns, the base again in well figured mahogany, raised on the original ogee bracket feet circa 1800. This clock is of wonderful colour and patination.
Samuel Lister is listed in Britten's as working in Bolton C1770 onwards
Condition: This clock is in excellent condition, the movement has been overhauled and is guaranteed for two years, the dial has been re-touched and the case fully cleaned and waxed
